The samples from the client contains lots of clay, and the clay forms agglomeration, so lots of chromite ore attaches onto the agglomeration with the grain size of the chromite fine and embedded in the ore. The liberation grain size is ok to separate without further crushing and milling.

Forui has done two kinds of separation: magnetic separation trial and gravity separation trial. Chromite is of weak magnetism, so intensity magnetic separation has been used in some places but not all chromite can be separated by this intensity magnetic separation. The density of chromite ore is 4.3-4.8g/cm³，and it is a obvious difference with that of waste stone, so gravity separation can work very well for the chromite separation. And there is still floatation separation for chromite, but in the real case, kind of chromite floatation separation is hard to see.

There is a lot of mud in the chromite ore, and it is easy to form blocks, so ore-washing will be needed firstly to remove the mud on the surface of the blocks by spiral log washer.
